I just got a 131.80 bill for health insurance. Wait, no, technically it's not a bill because I'm not even enrolled yet. So I guess I just cut this company a check just to make a decision on weather or not I'm eligible.
Are you going to pay it? I'm annoyed this week so I wouldn't. :) I was on the phone with the cable company yesterday giving her an ear full about how dishonest of them it is to quote a price to us that doesn't include everything. Seriously??? I was also billed for an eye exam that had been covered by insurance. Hi.
V has asthma, we have extemely good (we thought), extremely expensive (we know) health insurance. They stopped covering her more expensive meds. Generic equivalent does not work for her. Just that scrip is $185 per month. Then.... they raised the co-pay for her others we are now at $300 a month for rx. They will however fully paya hospitilization because of an attack and pay the exorbitant "in hospital" drug fees. Makes no sense to me.
That makes zero sense. Have you tried going through the company and seeing if you are eligible for an assistance program? I'm trying that with Humira right now. The concept behind it is you're technically a walking commercial for how awesome their drug is so they want you to stay on the drug and continue to show everyone how SUPER DUPER AWESOME their product is.
True story, this girl I know (who's my age) has 5 kids (that would be what, 1 a year?) gets free coverage because she's a "stay at home mom" (see unemployed) who's currently pregnant with her 6th (6th!!! SIXTH!!!!) child. (6TH!!!)
She also gets food stamps, and a small stipend each month.
This is also the girl who suggested I "just get pregnant!" to get on MassHealth.
Sorry, but I hate kids *just* enough to sacrifice health and longevity.

Hi.
I was tempted to write "RAPISTS" in the memo line, but then decided that would be immature. And trashy.
ReplyDeleteAnd maybe illegal.
ReplyDeleteHow would that be illegal?
